SHINE! Servant Event 2024
Make a Christ-centered difference in our community.
Pick a project; shine the light of Jesus to our neighbors.
Date: Saturday, April 13
Time: 9 AM – Noon
Volunteers Needed: 20–25
Location: Meet at the Good Shepherd Village 2 North Parking area (204 South Sunset Hills Drive, Concordia)
Volunteers should bring trowels; rakes; shovels; gloves; trash bags; trucks to haul away yard waste, leaves, and branches; and lots of muscle!
*If necessary, the rain date is Saturday, April 20.

Location: Good Shepherd Care Community
Come and enjoy the SPLHS students and visit with residents as the students promenade in their finest through the Good Shepherd Care Community before prom.
Date: Sunday, April 14 – Sunday, April 21
Location: Collection boxes in the narthex and church office
The Sweet Springs Food Pantry assists over 100 area families including 150 children and currently 7 families that are homeless. Although each month is different, the summer months can be especially challenging without school meals.
Needed items include any food with a “pop top” (tuna, chicken, fruit), beef jerky, ravioli, macaroni n cheese. Small bags of toiletries, laundry detergent and cleaner is also greatly appreciated. Donation boxes can be found in the narthex and church office.
*Items will be delivered on Monday, April 22.

Time: 5:00 PM
Volunteers Needed: 10–15
Location: 106 South Biltz Drive, Concordia
Volunteers should bring rakes; shovels; gloves; trash bags; trucks to haul away yard waste, leaves, and branches.

Time: 2:00 PM
Volunteers Needed: 15–20
Location: School Gym
This project will be packing bags with various snacks. Can be done sitting. Snacks and bags will be provided.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
If you cannot participate in one of the projects listed above but still wish to offer some kind of hands-on service, reach out to a neighbor, a friend, or a fellow church member who could use some kind of assistance, respite, or relief.
